Support for Chem Sex Related Challenges

Chemsex—using drugs like methamphetamine, GHB/GBL, cocaine, or mephedrone to enhance or prolong sexual experiences—can create complex emotional, physical, and relational challenges.

For many in the LGBTQ+ community, chemsex can be part of a pleasurable, adventurous, and consensual sexual experience. When approached with care, communication, and awareness, it can be a way of connecting, exploring desire, and enjoying intimacy in ways that feel liberating and affirming.

But for some, the line between enjoyment and harm can become blurred.

Sometimes, chemsex starts to take up more space in life than intended. You might notice patterns that feel out of control—staying out longer than planned, feeling low or disconnected afterward, struggling with boundaries, or using more than you feel comfortable with. It can also impact relationships, work, mental health, and sense of self-worth.

If you’re beginning to question your relationship with chemsex, you’re not alone—and you’re not broken. Many people go through these experiences, and it’s okay to seek support without judgment or shame.

I understand the layered dynamics involved, including:

  • Sexual health and consent
  • Addiction and cycles of compulsive behaviour
  • Loneliness, trauma, or internalized stigma
  • Relationship difficulties or disconnection
  • Mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, or shame

In my practice I offer a confidential, affirming space to talk openly about chemsex. Whether you want to better understand your patterns, reduce harm, make changes, or simply feel more in control, I’m here to support you—at your pace, on your terms.
