Building Self-worth and Self-esteem

Many LGBTQ+ people grow up navigating environments where it hasn’t always felt safe to be fully themselves. Over time, this can lead to feelings of low self-worth, difficulty trusting your voice, or struggling to feel deserving of respect and care. You might find it hard to set boundaries, say no, or prioritize your own needs—especially if you’ve been taught, implicitly or directly, that your identity or emotions are “too much” or not valid.

In therapy, I offer a safe, affirming space where you can begin to unlearn those messages and build a stronger, more compassionate relationship with yourself. Together, we’ll explore the roots of your self-esteem challenges and help you reconnect with your strengths, your truth, and your right to take up space.

We can focus on practical tools—like setting boundaries that protect your energy, learning to say no without guilt, and developing more self-affirming inner dialogue. Setting boundaries isn’t selfish—it’s self-care. And it’s an essential part of rebuilding self-worth.

You deserve to live with confidence, clarity, and connection. Therapy can be the space where you begin that journey—at your own pace, and in your own way.
